VTV.vn - On June 23, 2020, Hai Duong province exported the first lychee to Japan. This is a potential market and Vietnam's litchi is consumers of Japan country favourite.
This time, our Ameii Vietnam Joint Stock Company will purchase, export to Japan about 1.2 tons of lychee in Thanh Thuy commune, Thanh Ha district.
After being harvested, the lychee is transported to our factory for packaging and preliminary processing, then transferred to Bac Giang to process Methybromide and on June 24, it will be transported to Japan by air, expected after 7 hours will be present in the Japanese market.
From 4am, Nguyen Van Cuong's family in Lai Xa 2 village, Thanh Thuy commune got up early to break Lychee. Today was a happy and special day with his family. After many days take care and worry during the Covid season, today, the famous lychee of Thanh Ha hometown has been collected and packaged; handling the final stages to formally enter the Japanese market.

Mr. Nguyen Khac Tien, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ameii Vietnam Joint Stock Company shared that this is fourth Lychee of company export to Japan. This is also a very potential market and Vietnam's lychee is very popular with consumers of your country. The level of acceptance of the market is very good.
Previously, our company also exported 60 tons of Lychee to Singapore and 50% of which was Hai Duong Lychee. All the Lychee meet all the food safety criteria of your country.
According to Mr. Pham Van Khanh - Acting Chairman of People's Committee of Thanh Thuy Commune, Thanh Ha District, people planting lychee are glad that for the first time, the special lychee fruit of their homeland is exported to Japan. Thanh Thuy currently has over 340 hectares of lychee; of which 77 ha of lychee VietGAP and Global GAP. The selling price of lychee produced by a cleanprocess and certified VietGAP and GlobalGAP is always 10-15% higher than the price of other lychee on the market.
In the coming years, the commune will direct farmers to pay more attention to the stage of caring for lychee. Lychee fruit in 2020 is regularly monitored by Hai Duong agriculture and sampled for testing many times before exporting, with good results.

Mr. Tran Van Quan - Director of Hai Duong Department of Agriculture and Rural Development said that this year's consumption of lychee will change farmers' thinking of production and care. If the lychee is produced clean and safe, completely assured output, the price will not be low. The local agriculture industry is applying technical processes so that longan will be exported.
Witnessing the first Lychee exported to Japan by Hai Duong, Mr. Nguyen Quy Duong - Deputy Director of Plant Protection Department, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development commented, Hai Duong province has been in a very active, good production, especially pest control and isolation in accordance with Japanese requirements. The province has selected a set of medicines to prevent pests on the lychee and organized instructions for people to use in accordance with the principles. As a result, lychee is both pest free and safe for food, meeting export market criteria.
